Deliverables
Official site · Interactive line map with landmarks · A page and gallery for every station · Fares, passenger information and tourist section · Organisation section: history, structure, careers, tenders · Hiring process in five steps
The interactive line map on the Baku Metro site, with stations and the landmarks around them.
The map is the front page, as delivered in 2015. A visitor plans by place, a commuter checks a change without opening anything.

Task

A metro serves two groups with the same infrastructure and opposite knowledge: commuters who know the network and need today's facts, and visitors who need the network itself explained. A list of stations serves neither.

What we did

  • Built the site around an interactive map of the lines, which is also the front page.
  • Marked the landmarks around each station, so a visitor plans by place and a commuter checks a change without opening a page.
  • Placed fares and payment, passenger information and a tourist section beside the map.
  • Gave the organisation's own material a path of its own: history, structure, careers, tenders and public accountability.
  • Explained hiring in five illustrated steps, from the online application to the job offer.
  • Gave every station its own page with its opening date, address, construction and a photo gallery.

Result

Passengers, visitors, job applicants and suppliers each have their own route through the same site.

Product Overview

A station page on the metro site: the opening-year timeline along the line, then the station's opening date, address and construction.
Every station has its own page and its own gallery — the network's history told station by station.
The recruitment page: the hiring process in five illustrated steps, from the online application to the job offer.
Hiring is explained as a process, step by step, so a candidate knows what follows the application.
